When You Begin Reconstruction On Your Website And This Happens...
Ah, the dreaded website maintenance routine. Anyone else have to deal with this hassle? I received an upcoming payment notice from my hosting service saying I’d owe an extra $96 dollars this time around…making the total $696! Wait, what?! I’ve never paid that much for the service since I landed there. Guess it’s time to move…
My initial thought was to create a new webpage on a different hosting site and point my domain to that site. I’ve done it before and it was super easy. However, my hosting service didn’t want me to point my domain anywhere but at websites they were hosting. Go figure.
So, after clumps of hair being ripped out, or falling out on their own, I made the drastic decision to move my domain name to a different service. I won’t blast the service I’m leaving but I will say that GoDaddy has the friendlier domain service. Easy to point where I want it to go, prices are really good for domains and their customer service is fast.
So, what is the purpose of this email crowding your box? It’s to let you know if you want to look me up, or if you’ve recently read one of the Trouble In Timbisha Township books and found broken links in the back it’s because I did a thing, but to fix it you can check it out at terielise.com for now.
I should have www.elisemanion.com up and running in about a week or so. It will look exactly the same as the temp but the address will be correct. I know, I’m a weirdo but such is the life of a writer.
Before I go, just want to remind you that Chloe’s Frost is available to listen to on Spoken.press for free.
I hope you’re doing well, enjoying the change of seasons, and reading wonderful books!
Until next time, I hope you stay Happily Distracted!

Holy cow! That's a lot of moola for web service. I used GD for a while but switched to my current service for better customer service. But they are fairly easy to work with and the prices are pretty low. I maintain nine websites, most of mine and my pen names under my one hosting account.
